town on the west side of RI on the Conn border; the streets are lined with Victorian and Greek-revival mansions




I found the wealthy homes - in Hyannis, where the Kennedy's go



Atlantic beaches on Cape Cod

The surf is so rough that it's eroded the shore, it's clift-like; you have to climb down steps to reach the beach and water

I finally got the nerve to eat my first whole lobster; I lucked up and my waitress had actually lived in Montgomery, AL for 6 years; both of her children had graduated from Auburn; she sat down with me and taught me how to eat a lobster. Now I'm a pro!

I stayed at The Red Inn, a rambling red 1913 house that once hosted Franklin and Eleanor Roosevelt
The Pilgrim Monument; the pilgrims stopped here for 5 weeks before heading to Plymouth; they signed the Mayflower Compact while on the Mayflower in the bay
